LVL3

For 10,000 kids under the age of 18, the culmination of the AAU basketball season ends in Las Vegas at the Summer Championship Series. Las Vegas is an amazing town for people over 21 with some disposable income but quite a different one for a middle or high school basketball player. What if adidas basketball could throw these kids a party unlike any other that was not only free but closed to anyone over the age of 18?

LVL3 came to life on July 21st, 2016. The three-day immersive basketball event offered more than 5,000 kids full access to adidas athletes, experiences, and products. Kids played ping pong with Derrick Rose in one room and Xbox with James Harden in the other. They created gifs from the 360 dunk cams, got individual performance analyses from P3, customized products, and even got lined up by adidas barbers. The weekend was capped off with a concert featuring DJ Esco and Dame Dolla.

Basketball is a unique sport that unites court and street like no other. The culture of the game is heavily influenced by the culture of the streets and vice versa. With this event, adidas basketball spoke to the entire culture of the sport, not just that of the court.

LVL3 2017 took place on July 27th with over 6,000 teenagers in attendance at the Cosmopolitan Casino.

The adidas #LVL3 experience is in a class of it’s own. From presentation to product, flawless throughout.

It was one of the coolest events I’ve attended because adidas and the athletes don’t make you feel like you’re media, you almost feel like family.

For the first time, adidas basketball put us on our heels. They had us shook.
